Session Interns
General Description

The Michigan House of Representatives is currently looking to fill several internship positions for the 2009 fall and winter semesters.  We are seeking responsible and professional individuals to serve as Page’s on the House floor during session.  Duties center largely on handing out calendars, journals, resolution sheets and various other handouts to the Representatives.  Other responsibilities include answering Page requests from the Representatives desks and carrying legislative material to and from the House floor and offices.

 
Salary Range

This is an unpaid position.  School credit can be arranged where desired.  Must be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and Thursdays from 11:30am to 5:00pm     

 
Minimum Qualifications

Must be a college student, at least 18 years old, who is dependable and capable of making deliveries and pickups in all types of weather conditions.  Position requires diplomacy, discretion and excellent interpersonal skills.
